Cover from France: 60th anniversary of the Pierre Le Gloan's Air Combat

I received a few days ago a letter kindly sent by Pierre, French collector who collects stamps, envelopes and post cards on military aviation. Despite an interest in the topic - as I collect World War I and II - I had no idea of the immense diversity and beauty that has military aviation in philately... I'm finding a lot to visit Pierre's blog.
Below one of the nice postcards received:
60th anniversary of the
Pierre Le Gloan's Air Combat - Le Luc June 15, 2000
Le Gloan is the famous French flying ace who on 15 June 1940 Le Gloan with another pilot attacked twelve Italian Fiat CR.42 fighters. Le Gloan shot down three of Them while Cpt Assolent shot down another. While returning to the airfield Le Gloan shot down another CR.42 and the BR.20 bomber. For this outstanding achievement of destroying 5 aircraft in one flight he was promoted to 2nd Lieutenant. Le Gloan had a very important role in several battles of World War II
Curiously the postcard has the stamp commemorating 100 years of the birth of Saint-Exupéry, the famous French writer, who was also active pilot during World War II and, like Le Gloan, unfortunately is among the thousands of casualties of this conflict.

Merci Pierre, je vais envoyer un retour bientôt!
