FDCs from Russia: the Cyrillic alphabet creator

Nastasya always sends nice stamps and FDCs of Russia. This time she sent excellent FDCs about Christianity. The first image is the FDC on St. St. Cyril and Methodius, two brothers born in Thessaloniki (Greece today) in the IX century. Both are very popular in Russia and Eastern Europe. Methodius was bishop of the Moravia while Cyril played an important role in the expansion of Christianity in Eastern Europe in the ninth century and created the Cyrillic alphabet.

The second FDC shows the celebration of 1150 years of the Christianization of Russia.
Very nice!! Thank you Nastasya !!!!
