Cover from Canada: World War II

Cover received from Canada with FDCs, kindly sent by Laura.

A series of FDCs on World War II was issued during 90s and recalls various times of conflict. It is an excellent set for the theme.
 Thank you, Laura!

Cover from Russia: Sochi 2014

Another cover received from Russia.
This time a personalized envelope, but unfortunately it seems that some seals were torn from the cover. We apologize for the incident path, or subtraction occurred ... I prefer to think it was an incident. To compensate, I show one of the nice stamps sent by Nastasya. This issue is devoted to the XI Winter Paralympics Games that will happen in  Sochi, Krasnodar, Russia in 2014. This will be the first time Russia has hosted the Paralympics and will be the début of Para-snowboarding at the Winter Paralympics.
Snowflake and Ray of Light (Snezhinka and Luchik)
Thank you Nastasya.

FDC from Russia: Constantin Stanislavski

Very cool Russian FDC received  from Nastasya.

The FDC issued in 2013 on Constantin Stanislavski (Moscow, January 5, 1863 - Moscow, August 7, 1938), a famous actor and theater director, educator and Russian writer. I had never heard about it so I did a quick search. He popularized the theater in Russia and created a teaching method for actors, known as Stanislavski's system. This system is so important in dramatic art that influenced some important cinema schools the U.S.. So many movies you have seen, may have been played by actors followers or influenced by Stanislavski.
Thank you Nastasya

Cover from Spain: Saints

A very cool cover received from Fabienne, Spain.

Inside the cover the mint stamp set, recently issued by the Spain Post, on three religious figures: Saint Telmo (1190-1246), Saint Joseph of Cupertino (1603-1663) and Friar Rosendo Salvado y Rotea (1814-1900).
Stamps are very nice and one about St. Joseph of Cupertino is very interesting for the effect of clouds on the sacred image. To learn more about this issue, see Correos de España site.
Merci, Fabienne.
