Cover from Spain: El Rocio

Cover received from Fabienne, Spain.
I highlight the fourth stamp, from left to right, celebrating the Marian Jubilee Year of the Virgen del Rocío in the town of Almonte (Huelva province). It is a recent issue that portrays the image of the Virgen del Rocio (Virgin of Rocio) and the Hermitage of El Rocío, which has the second reconstruction of the original building erected in the thirteenth century and destroyed in the earthquake of Lisbon in 1755.
The Virgen of Rocio is very popular in Spain and Latin America. The first name Maria do Rocio is very frequent among women in Brazil, as well as Maria del Rocio in Spanish-speaking countries.
Fabienne, thank you for this great stamps and cover.

  1. You're welcome. If you want the fourth stamp in mint condition (I have a few stamps left), I will send it with my next mail, after my moving...
